Description of the purpose, tasks and responsibilities of the Manager Student Desk. The Student Desk department proactively makes proposals to the managing director and the (Extended) Leadershipteam in the area of student affairs .

Fontys ICT wants to play a decisive role in this within Fontys. The department Student Desk proactively makes proposals to the managing director and the (Extended) Leadershipteam in the area of student affairs.

The Manager Student Desk:

• As a strategic advisor, he/she is responsible for advising the managing director and the (Extended) Leadershipteam on strategic, tactical and operational (long or medium-term) policy options concerning facilities in the area of the Student Desk for the purpose of carrying out high-quality education and research;
• Together with the Operations Managers (UM's) (in Tilburg and at Strijp TQ and R10), bears overall responsibility and is the contact person for the Student Desk at strategic and tactical level;
• Bears overall responsibility for the processes and working methods within the Student Desk and maintains oversight of the administrative processes and improves and sharpens where necessary to ensure quality;
• Determines the administrative feasibility of new, developed or modified education;
• Is contact person on tactical level for various operational stakeholders (see contacts);
• Advises the manager OOP and People Managers (PM's) on future needs for Student Desk staff and their expertise and is involved in the recruitment and selection;
• Inspires and motivates the employees Student Desk, together with the People Managers, through courses, articles, and training, to keep the individual development in line with the strategic goals of Fontys ICT;
• Is involved/contact person for Fontys wide projects of the department Student Services and is responsible for the communication within Fontys ICT.
