Summary
Description of the purpose, duties and responsibilities of the Project Leader Core Group Educational Specialists .

Together with the Programme Managers (CE's), the Project Leader Core Group Educators is responsible for the didactic set-up of Fontys ICT's curriculum and provides additional expertise at both educational/didactic and project level. The project leader also supervises the securing of didactic coherence in the Fontys ICT broad curriculum. In addition, the project leader provides support in the development of education.

The Project Leader Core Group Educational Specialists:

• serves as the first point of contact for questions relating to educational specialist support:
  • development of new education;
  • teacher professionalisation;
  • didactic refinement of existing education.
• keeps track of work in progress and the needs of the organisation;
• at the request of the PMs, ensures that professionalisation (Basic-level Teaching Qualification (BKO), Mid-level Teaching Qualification (MKO), SKO) of lecturers is facilitated;
• identifies and prioritises educational specialist tasks;
• is a member of the core group of educational specialists and chairs meetings;
• provides educational specialist support and advice in formulating Fontys ICT's educational vision and its implementation;
• makes proposals for the approach to educational developments within the Curriuculum development committee (OO) and includes the developers (including educational specialists) in this;
• advises the managing director on the didactic organisation of education within the institute, after consultation with the educational specialists;
• together with the OO, ensures that the education complies with the TER and fits within the framework of the institute's policy;
• provides education himself at least one day a week.

The Project Leader Core Group Educational Specialists is mainly advisory and facilitative.

The Project Leader Core Group Educational Specialists:

• is a member of the OO (curriculum committee);
• acts as point of contact from the OO to the educational specialists within the institute;
• acts as point of contact towards PMs and UMs;
• is a member of the steering committee for broad curriculum developments at the university of applied sciences;
• represents the study programme, if required, both internally and externally, as regards the didactic organisation of the Fontys ICT curriculum.
