Summary
The Fontys ICT compass, and its various compasses, represent how we want to interact with each other and our stakeholders, what we consider important in the way we work, and how we are on our way to our future organisation together.

The basic idea behind the Fontys ICT compass is the diversity of people with their different motives that our organisation is rich in. That diversity and the freedom everyone has to be who they are is the strength of our organisation. By combining all those strengths - including those of employees, students and the work field - we form the dynamic and progressive community we want to be now and in the future. A community where pioneering spirit, meaningful innovation, cooperation and inclusiveness are paramount. Everyone has the freedom to choose their own focus in this that suits their own ambitions and interests. We are an organisation on the move. Standing still is not an option. We encourage people to expand their world, look for new challenges while continuing to do what they are good at and getting even better at it. Meaningful innovation with an eye for people and society. We go for innovation that matters.

We explore new technologies and how we can allocate them to add value to people's lives and to society as a whole. ICT touches all processes people face in life and work, and that influence is only increasing. We get energy from helping students, employees and professionals from the work field to develop their ICT knowledge and skills and to make positive allocations for a social society. That is why we work together on current and socially relevant topics for challenging education and innovative research. In doing so, we not only make an impact on the world we live in but also ensure meaningful advancement of the fields of expertise in which we operate.

Network of ambassadors and connectors. Open, borderless, ambitious .

Together, we are shaping the future of the ICT field in all its applications. With passion and in connection. It is not only employees who work together with pleasure and enthusiasm. Lecturers, students and industry also find each other in professionalism. This is how we learn and create together, share knowledge and build our growing - from regional to international - network. Alone you are faster, but together you get further.

Thinking and acting in possibilities. Anything is possible. Look ahead and go.

We like to do new things. In our own way: developing with advancing insight. We dare to experiment and immediately put new ideas and solutions into practice. We don't shy away from risks. The bar is high, but things are also allowed to go wrong. That is part of our learning process. This makes us and our students flexible, adaptive and responsive.
