Semester guides, substantive requirements

Summary
semester guides must meet a number of substantive requirements. These are explained. It also indicates how information from the evaluation of the previous semester should be included.

1. Substantive requirements

1.1. Information on the topics, theme of the units of study

The topics within a semester are also referred to as fields of expertise. The semester guides describes the topics of the semester, or unit of study. Reference can be made to the published programme guide, which contains all the formal information about the educational programmes as an annex to the TER.

This formal information is maintained in the Curriculumdatabase for each field of expertise and should be fully updated two weeks before the start of education. The information will be published on the page with the TERs of FHICT at least one week before the start of the education.

For each field of expertise (or the entire semester), at least a description is included of:

  1. Introduction
  2. Assessment and semester assessment
    • Assessment
    • Resources
    • Resit and repair options
  3. Learning activities
  4. Teaching materials

1.2. Information on educational adaptations following previous educational evaluations

It has been agreed with the IPC and the JDPC that the semester guide will include at least the improvements made as a result of the previous semester evaluation. In this way we give students feedback on what we do with the given feedback.

1.3. Partners in Education

The semester guides describe which PIEs contribute to education and in what form.
