-===== Amendments =====
-
-As of February 2023, the following high-level changes have been made to the internship semester:
-  * New learning outcomes and associated assessment form (see below for the new learning outcomes at ..:beleid:processen_bij_stage#Learning Outcomes Internship (february 2023))
-  * Formative assessment by Ass1 and Comp based on learning outcomes (assessment as learning); summative assessment by Ass1 and Ass2, but Ass1 is leading; Ass1 calibrates with Ass2 at project plan, halfway through and just before assessment; Ass1 can use Ass2 for advice.
-  * All students deliver a portfolio, in accordance with the testing policy
-  * Meetings can take place physically or online, depending on the preference of all parties involved and the availability of meeting space
-  * FeedPulse and StudyCoach (purple bar) are introduced as mandatory tools for logging feedback within or between semesters. All feedback will be logged in ..:beleid:canvas, not via email.
-  * The assessment no longer requires the student to present. Final presentation only happens at company visit with Comp and Ass1. Assessment at school starts directly with question and answer. If there is no doubt about the result of the internship grade, even the question and answer round can be skipped and the assessment can take the form of a feedback session with Ass1 and Ass2.

-
-===== Instructions =====
-
-==== 1. Kick-off meeting ====
-
-Ass1 can attend the kick-off meeting to get the same information as the students, slides will be published on Canvas.
-
-==== 2. Introduction ====
-
-Ass1 plans a meeting with each student individually or with all students assigned at the same time in order to get to know each other, discuss the assignment and make agreements about communication. Ass1 gathers information about the student, via StudyCoach (purple bar) and StudentVolg (contact mentor or Student+ if necessary). Note that in this first conversation you can also determine whether extra help from Student+ is needed during the internship, see also the course Student guidance.
-
-==== 3. Feedback project plan ====
-
-Student delivers draft version of project plan in Canvas after it has been approved/reviewed by Comp. Ass1 gives feedback on project plan in Canvas. In most cases, the project plan will now be ready for completion during the first site visit. In some cases separate meetings between Ass1 and student will be needed before the first site visit to iterate the project plan more than once.
-
-==== 4. First company visit ====
-
-Ass1 advises the student that a company visit can be planned as soon as the project plan is ready for completion. The student organises the company visit. During the visit, Ass1 and Comp get to know each other and discuss the project plan. Ass1 explains to Comp the planning for the rest of the internship.
-
-==== 5. Calibrating project plan and lecturers' meeting ====
-
-After the first company visit, the student finishes the project plan and hands it in to Canvas. Ass1 asks Ass2 to check the project plan, to see if the assignment and the planned approach correspond with the learning outcomes of OE5, see appendix. Ass2 advises Ass1, Ass1 communicates with the student and sets the project plan to "Complete" in Canvas. The student does not need to make a new project plan but can take Ass2's advice (as communicated by Ass1) into account when carrying out the assignment and in the final report/presentation. The PLOU S5 organises a meeting with all assessors to calibrate the findings of the project plan with the whole tutor group.
-
-==== 6. Weekly update and feedback on professional products ====
-
-Student informs Ass1 weekly and student and Ass1 have a conversation at least once every fortnight. All information/feedback/feedforward is logged in Feedpulse (by the student!). Student can ask Ass1 to assess or discuss professional products. The student submits the appeal products in Canvas and Ass1 logs feedback in the corresponding assignment, inline or in assignment comments.
-
-==== 7. Lecturers' meeting test analysis ====
-
-Around week 7, the PLOU S5 organises a assessment analysis of the assessment portfolios from the previous semester. All assessors are involved in this and assess at least one portfolio from the previous semester. At least one portfolio with U, S, and G/O is included in the assessment (so minimum 3 portfolios). The PLOU S5 collects and archives the results of the assessment analysis in the assessment file.
-
-==== 8a. Choice next semester ====
-
-Students receive an email from the ..:beleid:student_desk and have to make a choice for next semester (S6, S7 or minor) in Progress. As they have quite a few options, it is of utmost importance that Ass1 (semester coach) discusses this choice with the student. We need to make sure that all students make an informed choice, see also the page about this in Canvas.
-
-==== 8b. Interim presentation PLOU ====
-
-Ass1 can attend interim meeting to get same information as students, slides will be published on Canvas. PLOU S5 will also emphasise choice for next semester (see previous point).
-
-==== 8c. Intermediate calibration ====
-
-Around week 10, the student must ask the company supervisor for feedback and record this in Canvas (assignment). If necessary, Ass1 organises a short online meeting with the company supervisor to discuss progress. Ass1 informs Ass2 about the interim feedback. If necessary, Ass1 organises a brief meeting with Ass2 to discuss the student.
-
-==== 9. Intervision students ====
-
-Around week 10 Ass1 organises a group intervision, preferably physical, with his/her students. This can also be done together with the students of Ass2, but the advice is to keep the group to a maximum of 6 students, so possibly split up into 2 sessions. The group should be at least 4 students so that the students can learn from each other. During the intervision the students tell each other about their progress and they can bring in questions/challenges to hear each other's approach.
-
-==== 10a. Feedback draft portfolio ====
-
-Student submits intermediate versions in Canvas for feedback. Ass1 logs feedback in Canvas for at least one intermediate version of the whole portfolio. For more detailed feedback, student must ask Ass1 specific questions ("is this research question formulated correctly?", "is this diagram comprehensible?"). Ass1 and student have at least one meeting to discuss the content (which professional products?) and structure (full internship report with few attachments or shorter process description with more attachments) of the portfolio that best fits the assignment.
-
-==== 10b. Feedback final portfolio ====
-
-The student delivers a final draft version of the portfolio (more than 90% complete) to Canvas around week 15-16. Ass1 provides detailed feedback on this version of the portfolio, so that the student can complete it for delivery in week 17. This feedback is recorded in Canvas.
-
-==== 11. Lecturers' meeting portfolio ====
-
-The PLOU S5 organises a meeting with all assessors around week 15 to calibrate the findings of the portfolio with the whole group of lecturers.
-
-==== 12. Second company visit ====
-
-The second company visit takes place after delivery of the portfolio in week 17. The student organises the meeting. The meeting has the following agenda:
- - Presentation by student; for this part other people from the company can be invited. At least the company supervisor and tutor supervisor are present. Please note: this is now the final presentation and does not need to be repeated during the assessment.
-  - Discussion between Ass1 and CompCoach about the final grade for the student (filling in the assessment form together). Ass1 is in charge, CompCoach advises. The student is not present, other people from the company leave too.
-  - Feedback for FHICT; Ass1 asks company coach for feedback on FHICT including his/her own role.
-  - Feedback from Ass1 to student about presentation and preparation for final assessment - CompCoach does not have to be present
-
-==== 13. Calibration final grade ====
-
-Ass1 sends assessment form to Ass2. Ass2 reviews portfolio and advises Ass1 on final assessment form. Ass1 makes final assessment form ready for assessment. It may be that some details remain open that need to be determined after the assessment. Ass1 advises the student on these points before the assessment.
-
-==== 14. Assessment ====
-
-The assessment has the following agenda:
-  - Question and answer with the student to answer any questions not answered in the calibration between Ass1 and Ass2 (20 min)- Note: first question may be to give a short demo :-)
-  - Student leaves the classroom; Ass1 and Ass2 finalize the grade and the corresponding explanation (10 min)
-  - Student is called back; Ass1 and Ass2 give student final grade and oral feedback on the internship (15 min)
-After the assessment, Ass1 enters the final grade and the explanation (upload form as attachment!) into Canvas and publishes this to the student. Ass2 writes a note "Approved U/S/G/O" as digital signature in Canvas. Ass1 also copies the main feedback (feedforward) to StudyCoach (purple bar in Canvas) for the student's upcoming semester coaches.
-
-==== 15. Examination Board Meeting ====
-
-Each PLOU S5 organises an exam committee meeting for his/her own students with a member of the exam committee to determine their progress. The exam committee can contact Ass1 or ask Ass1 to be present to explain why the student got a fail and what the best option is for the student to pass OE5. Ideally, Ass1 and Ass2 have already recorded this sufficiently in Canvas. The examining board is responsible for processing the transfer decisions and for communicating them to the students. The PLOU S5 publishes the signed advancement matrix in the assessement file.
