Developments around Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI), such as ChatGPT, are moving incredibly fast. The possibilities of all kinds of tools have also increased dramatically. More and more students and employees are using GAI. That is why Fontys has produced a practical brochure which explains what GAI exactly entails and the guidelines we apply from Fontys. The document also contains advice and contact details of colleagues working on these topics.

Within Fontys ICT, the various AI/Software solutions on the market (e.g. ChatGPT or Bard) are also becoming increasingly important . If you believe that you need a paid licence of such a solution for your work, the process is as follows:

1. Create a standard purchase request;
2. Under Category, choose: IT licences;
3. Depending on the purpose (education, professional development or research) for which the licence is to be used fill in the Programme Manager, PM or professor respectively as a core team responsible member;
4. Give a brief description of why a licence is needed;
5. Once the request has received approval from the Programme Manager, the licence can be purchased in person;
6. Invoices showing the cost of the licence can then be claimed via HR2day.

Tip: The cost of the licence can be claimed monthly, but also quarterly or annually. Always make sure the correct invoices are included.
