Hello Talent
Summary
Fontys ICT's own online social network, which is aimed at Fontys ICT employees, is called Hello Talent. Employees fill their Hello Talent profile page in such a way that they sketch a picture of their educational and work experience background, their interests, talents and ambitions. In addition, Hello Talent offers the opportunity to make personal contributions to the realisation of the Fontys ICT ambition themes. The Hello Talent profile also serves as a guideline for the development cycle of contracting and assessing.
The cause

- Offer employees a platform to showcase their talents and experiences.
- To realise the ambitions of Fontys ICT are committed, enthusiastic and motivated employees who continue to develop themselves, both on a substantive and personal level, essential.
- The need for other forms of contracting that fit the culture and principles of Fontys ICT.
The goal
The main goal of Hello Talent is that employees of Fontys ICT within the social network can look for each other and then can question on relevant topics. This is done by means of the so-called "search function" on the homepage of Hello Talent. The search term leads to a search result: an overview of all employees who have included the search term in their Hello Talent profile. A search term can be chosen in various ways; It can be a talent, knowledge, first or last name, a former employer or study programme from the past, a professional code and so on.
A second goal of Hello Talent is the digitisation and optimisation of the development cycle. Fontys ICT employees fill their Hello Talent profile and update it as often as they want (real time). In the profile, employees can indicate how they are developing, where their talents and ambitions lie. This information serves as input for the annual autumn (September - November) contracting interview between employees and their managers. During the year, relevant information on employee development is updated/completed in the Hello Talent profile. In the summer (April - June) this information can be used as input during the assessment interview.
The principles
- Hello Talent is public for anyone with a valid Fontys ICT account (i-account).
- In Hello Talent every employee has his own portfolio, a page where you can find information about:
- contact information and information about the possibilities of using the employee
- what he's proud of, what his talents are
- What projects/roles will he carry out
- what he's going to do about professionalisation
- what contribution he is going to make to the themes of ambition
- Employees have the choice to shield parts of their profile so that the information is only visible to them.
- Employees update their Hello Talent profile regularly and discuss this with the People Manager
- Hello Talent supports a different facilitation of the interview cycle:
- Portfolio is the basis for contracting and assessment (no contracting form)
- We fill in Hello Talent and work with it based on trust in and ownership of employees
- The conversation between the employee and the People Manager is and remains more important than the tool
