Summary
Fontys ICT follows the Fontys policy on alcohol consumption. The broad outlines of that policy and its implementation at Fontys ICT are described on this page.

Fontys policy

The Regulation Alcohol, Drugs & Drug Policy was adopted in March 2017 by the Executive Board (CvB). Article F2 of these rules shall apply in this case:

“It is only permitted to consume low-alcoholic beverages during, for example, receptions, private meetings, staff outings, business dinners if no work is (or should be) carried out for the employer afterwards. In accordance with Articles 14 and 17 of the Fontys house rules and orderly measures, prior permission must be obtained from the Executive Board or the buildings manager”.

Specific agreements at Fontys ICT

The following specific agreements apply within Fontys ICT on the basis of the Fonty policy:

  • Everyone who organises an activity in which alcohol is served is responsible for compliance with the rules on the use of alcohol and, if necessary, will also hold others to account;
  • For each occasion prior permission is requested and granted by the relevant location manager;
  • Location managers (LMs) coordinate which opportunities are appropriate;
  • LMs shall review this policy at the latest after 1 year.
