Confidential Counsellor

Summary
Describes the route that can be followed in the event of complaints about inappropriate behaviour.

1. Inappropriate behaviour

Glances, delusional phrases, physical abuse, discrimination, harassment. Just a few examples of inappropriate behaviour, which can seriously spoil the atmosphere during study or at work. Fontys strives for a safe study and working environment for everyone and therefore does not tolerate any cases of inappropriate behaviour.

2. Do not hesitate

If you have to deal with inappropriate behaviour, show that you do not like it. If this doesn't work or if you need help you can contact one of the Fontys ICT HR Advisors (Karlijn van den Akker and Angelique Dhondt). You can also contact a confidential counsellor. You are free in your choice of a confidential counsellor. He takes your problem seriously and can indicate what else you can do.

3. Complaints Committee

Whether or not after consultation with your confidential counsellor, you can submit a complaint to the Complaints Committee for Inappropriate behaviours. This committee investigates the complaint and examines whether it is well-founded. On the basis of the judgement, the Executive Board takes action. The confidential counsellor can assist you with this procedure. In the 'Arrangement Inappropriate Behaviour' you can read more about what you can do if you have to deal with it.

4. Fontys Portal

Fontys University of Applied Sciences has set up a special portal where you can find all the information about confidential issues.
