Summary
Description of the purpose, tasks and responsibilities of the Research & Education Programme Manager. Under the leadership of, and in collaboration with, the Research Manager, he gives shape to the strategy of applied research in relation to Fontys ICT's ambitions.

Purpose

Fontys ICT aims to develop into an internationally recognised innovation institute. Applied research plays an important role in this. For this reason, leadership team also has room for a Manager Research. This role is filled for 1 day a week by a (leading) professor. To properly shape and secure the strategy and content, support for this role is needed. Both for the internal connection with education (Programme Manager Research and Education) and externally with the work field and research institutions (Programme Manager Research and Work Field).

Tasks and responsibilities

The Programme Manager Research and Education has the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensures the development, implementation and maintenance of (methodological) research quality in research and (preparatory) education including substantive steering for professionalisation in research skills of employees;
  • Develops research-based learning outcomes in alignment with CEs with regard to research skills;
  • Supports PLOOs and PLOUs in the implementation of research skills in education and the integration of research implementation in education;
  • Reports to Manager Research.
