Summary
Fontys ICT offers a range of professional development opportunities for professionals. This page outlines the offering and the guiding principles of Fontys Pro-ICT .
1. Fontys Pro-ICT
Fontys ICT Pro comprises the complete portfolio of professional development opportunities for professionals.
2. Fontys Lifelong Learning (LLO)
Fontys aims to contribute to lifelong learning and positions itself as a development partner for organisations and organisational networks in the region.
As a development partner we focus on knowledge development and on keeping the knowledge and skills of professionals up‑to‑date. By maintaining an ongoing dialogue with organisations about their learning and development needs, we are able to provide a wide variety of LLO learning and development activities (formal, informal, non‑formal). Suitable activities for professionals employed by our partners may include bespoke programmes, in‑company projects, research, hybrid‑learning research environments, as well as (existing) courses and programmes, the stimulation of a learning culture, guidance for early‑career professionals in the field, or a combination of the aforementioned options. The starting point is always the partnership and the (societal) demand from the region.

Fontys ICT acts as a development partner for organisations and professionals in the Brainport and Midpoint regions with regard to digital skills. The Accelerate IT portfolio is demand‑driven and developed in collaboration with the regions.
Within Accelerate IT the current focus is on the knowledge areas Cyber Security and AI & Data, serving the sectors of ICT, healthcare, education and manufacturing.

4. Didactics and Assessment within Fontys Pro-ICT
Fontys ICT follows a learning vision in which Student‑Centred Teaching is central.
This vision also underpins the professional development opportunities within Fontys ICT Pro. There are choices regarding content and format, giving professionals autonomy and allowing space for personal ambitions and development needs.
The bachelor, Associate Degree and master programmes are subject to formal assessment and adhere to the assessment policy of Fontys ICT.
The same applies to courses that, upon satisfactory completion, are awarded an edubadge, micro‑credential or certificate.
Assessment is carried out via a portfolio, based on learning outcomes defined by the programme or by the professional themselves, in dialogue with the lecturer.
For other courses a certificate of participation is issued. No formal assessment or certificate is provided for masterclasses.
