A description of the purpose, tasks and responsibilities of the Operations manager (UM).
Purpose
The Operations Manager (UM) ensures the execution of successful education and research for a cluster within Fontys ICT.
The distinguished locations are:
- Location R10 - Eindhoven
Demand Based Learning (DBL) and Course Based Learning (CBL); - Location P8 - Tilburg
Demand Based Learning (DBL), specialisations, Research Based Learning (RBL); - Location Fontys ICT InnovationLab TQ - Eindhoven
Research Based Learning (RBL) Education for Professionals (OvP), minors, specialisations, master, professors and business services; - Location Fontys ICT InnovationLab (Mindlabs) - Tilburg
Research Based Learning (RBL) and minors.
Tasks and responsibilities
Inflow
- Positioning an attractive offer from the location;
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
Progression
- Final responsibility for the coordination, organisation and facilitation of the execution of high-quality education and research;
- Making function the location and associated clusters as a reinforcing part of Fontys ICT;
Exit
- Responsible for the realisation of the graduation ceremony and alumni policy;

- Determining and monitoring the education budget frameworks
- Determining, monitoring and distributing available rooms
- Appoint and co-assess (in the role) the PLOU
- Determining the study programme to be carried out for the location
- Determine feasibility of new, developed or modified education
- Determine, monitor and support execution roles
- Indicate the future need for employees and their expertise
- Handling violation of the rules of conduct on the premises or in the building under Article 42 of the Students' Charter (mandated by managing director).
